i just realised that i havent been updating for quite sometime

bascially nothing much.
life still fine . i hope

my computer crashed a few days ago
was desperately backing up files before i reformatted it.

went to tourism academy on thursday
it was only SO-SO
i still think shatec is better

alrights.
ytd was phototaking session for the main band
looking at their unifrom remind me of those old days
eventhough we did not have any phototaking then
there were still some pics to remind me of those old dayswith my fellow bandmates
i suddenly remembered those old days in the old band room.

alumni band was nice.
we finally confirmed the repertoire.

finally . thx to mr tan. =D

after that to mac as usual
joined farhana and company at playground.
as usual.
charlene talked to me .
sometimes i do understand how other alumnus feel.

called marcus and talked to him .

To marcus : thanks for ur time listening to me and ur advices.
i promise to practice hard and like what you say . prove them wrong.
thanks again .

To beloved junior charlene :
i know you meant well . i won't take any offence to what you said ytd.
and i will try my best to play k .

meeting up some 2A2'2002 fellow classmates later.
i can't wait .

i simply miss those lower sec days .

and i hope that alumni band attendance could be better so mr tan can do more things =D

yesterday was the day.
National Band Competition 2006

went to sch early in the morning.
slacked around.
and of coz . nagged at juniors.
all of them all kanna my nagging
poor them.
but time was really rush

sea song . allersellen . ms saigon
was so wonderful in the school hall.

packed and went to VCH.
took pics.
ensemble to the tuning room.
memories came back.
i remembered those days back in 2003.
the painful memories.haish

went in to watch the competition
they were simply great.
yesh.
OPWO is not techinally good as other bands.
but wat we were musically strong.
and i mean it.

Ms Saigon was WONDERFUL
i can really feel the impact and the musical flow.
was sitting together with alumnis.
jannah. sakinah. yaser and gang.

watched for a while.
walked to KFC @ Funan during interval
watched for a while

then came results.
OPWO managed to came back on time.
PHEW.

We got 77.61%
3 % more to GOLD.
many juniors cried.

stayed a while more
went to marina square.
we simply just played around. making lots of noise
and then went home.

a note to dear juniors of OPWO :

Dear juniors. you have done your very best.
and i am very proud of you guys
like what ms chang said.
we are still young.
in a few years .
we got 2 GWH. 1 silver. 1 COP
you guys broke the curse of VCH.
you guys got a silver.
no more COP.

thanks to all juniors.
especially all those who played solos.
those who came back for night practices.
those who worked and practiced so hard for the competition.
once again . THANK YOU.
i am very proud of you guys
all the hardwork you put in had show in the result

To my beloved percussion section.:

i am really proud of you guys.
i simply love Ms Saigon
you all just simply become the highlight of the day.
the majestic sound and impact that you all produced.
Percussion simply rawks.
and you all did not disappoint us .

both of your really did a wonderful job in managing the section

lunch @ KFC
dinner @ Petals . the Shatec restaurant
thursday. lunch @ Suki Sushi.
friay. dinner @ MOS burger.

spend hell lot of money
and my student ez-link card was confiscated by the mrt personnel at Bukit Batok.
so i now got to use adult fare.
instead of the student card .coz i am suppose to be a MI student
it was a long story. i bluffed the mrt personnel.

thursday. went to Hotel Revendous and Hoilday Inn Park View to get some info on them
they are damn kind and good.
not like some other hotels who give us attitude and say they have no time to entertain us.
i just told both the reception ppl abt what i am looking for.
the next moment tadaa. i got a nice nice sales kit. oh my.haha

ohyah. wed
went to dine at petals.
with chris. jonny. alicia.
actually was 10 pax.
then reduce to 6. then in the end 4
zhijing was the headwaiter . lol
and we went to watch Pirates of the Caribbean : Dead man's chest
at suntec city
i laughed and laughed .
it was super funny man.
damn nice.

school was hard
lesson was terrible. horrible
long lectures.
projects.
mr vincent tan is like trying to stress us or wat.
all the group are advancing fast
except my group
perhaps we are slow and steady. lol
but i have confident in my group.

to sister fiona
dont so stress k .
relax. and i hope the person whom pissed you off isnt me
if it is me .it is my deepest apologies.

National Band Competition 2006 . 1st category
night practices everyday.
went back on friday and today
the sound was wonderful
getting better and better
especially today.

keep it that way
and show to the judges.
just entertain them with your music
regardless who your competitors are.
whether they are RGS , RI , Maris Stella or TKGS or Victoria
just do your best at VCH.
show them no only your music and also your discpline and orderly-ness when you move on the stage.
like what you all practice today in the hall.

believe in yourself and you can do it.
coz all your seniors will be giving all their support to you all .

will be going with the school .

well.
school started
kinda stress for this term
project on banquet operations
2nd day of sch received that BIG BOMB
PROJECT . lol

wed. went back to band
thurs.
went to hyatt to get information from Gary.

went to hotels with alicia and chris
the funny thing was . we were from different group

went hyatt. marriot. crown at orchard . hotel phoniex . sha villa.
then chris went back

me and alicia went ocbc tec
to get some info.
then went petals coz i got to see mr lua
then saw ernern.
alicia went off.
me and ern ern went to penisular hotel and grand plaza parkroyal
some were nice some weren't

fri. sch. boring day.

but wat i can say if
we are super noisy !.
especially when A and B class are side by side on friday.

we are the DHM 0405 INTAKE.
the noisy intake. lol

today. went to work in the morning.
set up the buffet with grace.
went home after work.
changed . slacked . stoned.
went to alumni band with melia
was alright in the beginning.
then something happen.
i don't blame u for angry with me.

was really down after hearing that.
really really down.
or maybe perhaps coz i am tired.
i look at the attendance
i seriously dont understand
why can't ppl just spend sometime and come down
if u can't make it. at least have the courtesy to sms me
imagine u waiting at the hall. till 8.
wat u see is just a small group of ppl

3 trumpets.
1 bassoon.
1 trombone.
1 french horn.
2 double bass.
1 flute.
1 clarinet.
4 percussionist.

kinda disappointed with the attendance.
but i told myself to persereve on .
although i am really tired. really tired
saw ahguang just now at mac.
although it is since a long time that i saw him.
i really miss 4A4. those wonderful classmates
yesh. i still did not cheer up

i tried eating ice-cream.
if only eating ice-cream cheers one up , i think i should be happy now.
walked along lentor ave after alighted the bus.
watching the busy traffic. as cars passed by me.

on my way home.
i took the long way.
the way where it is being lighted by dim lights.
shadows of trees casted by the spotlights that are shining on them.
listening to songs.
slow songs with guitar playing softly at the background

i wondered.

wat if 10 years ago .
i did not give in to my parents for deciding to transfer sch.
from marsiling pri to naval base pri.
i wonder how my life was.
although just being in marsiling for one year plus. i really miss that sch
that garden with the rock fountain in the middle
that big sch.
my best buddy then.

yaolong . shiying and me . the 3 always seen standing outside class as Mrs Eunos chased us out of her class.
ms tan . my favourite chinese teacher.

i wonder wat if i did not opted for EM1 in P4
i got seperated from my best friends then.
chien ping and kahing.
and we drifted apart coz we were different class.

i wonder. wat if i kept my promise when i was in p2.
to quit piano and music for good.
will i still be in the band ?
will i still be playing piano if i did not quit .

i wonder . wat if i did not give up on art classes in P5 ?
i really miss those art lessons with the art teachers at the Creative Art Studio .
located a few houses away from my house in malaysia.

i wonder. wat if my uncle did not pass away when i was in Sec 2.
will life be better now ?
will the company business be better then before ?
i know for certain . i will be back in malaysia.
living in that bungalow that i grew up.
that house that i always love.
coz i know i belonged there.

i wonder . wat if i went into SJAB when i was sec 1
if i did not put band as my first choice ?
but i knew . i did not regret joining band
i missed that year that we got out COP.
although we got COP . but . we had lots of fun that year
going out to perform for public performance.

i wonder how are all my long lost friends.
michael . my malaysia neighbour.
samantha. that pretty eurasian girl
we promised to marry one another when we grew up.

i wonder how is my kindergarden now.
Jack And Jill . located at the top of the hill
with abandan old malay style houses by the hillside.

i wonder.
wat if i went into MI instead of Shatec
but i know. i never regret coming to shatec
coz i know lots of wonderful friends. and i gain lots of new experience.

the song ended. and i reached home.
while unpacking my stuffs.
i looked at the percussion photos and some other photos of bandmates
the retirement card and the retirement gift that my juniors made for me when i step down.
it simply made me remember those old days.
and i realise.
all of us grew up.
gone were the days when hussaini was still sec 1.
charlene sec 2.
and jannah and siraj were sec 3
all those smiles on the photos.
the photos taken during racial harmony day. passing over ceremony. botanic garden.

although i am i hopeless percussionist.
i still have the passion in playing percussion instruments.
from snare drum . to bass drum to cymbal in sec 1
to mallets from sec 2 onwards.
although i played nonsences.
i still played .

well now. i seem to lost the passion of playing.
perhaps my juniors were correct.
i really can't play
i was all along a useless and hopeless percussionist who taught that i could make music together with the band.

but i really missed those marching days.
i really missed.
but those days will always stay as good wonderful memories .

nothing seemed to cheer me up now.
but i know one thing for sure.
i am not giving up alumni band.
not even when ppl gave up on alumni band.
all i know. i treat alumni band as my baby.


well . i shall end this post now.
